Name: Chase
Age: 19
Race: Nygul Hivespawn (93% humanity)
Description: Cool. Casual. Effortless. All words you'd use to describe the person you wish you were. That person's name is Chase. You're looking at him right now. Oh man, he's so interesting and good-looking. You're probably experiencing shortness of breath right now. Don't worry, that's totally normal. Call your doctor so she can recommend Vitamin C. The C is for Chase. Doctor's orders: a daily dose of 6 feet and 2 inches of chiseled teen beat Adonis as a cure-all for your formerly boring life. Do you play guitar and wear sunglasses at night? Well he does. It's called irony, my dudes. And there's nobody better at it than him.
Chase is a 19 year-old Hivespawn whose only official occupations are scamming people out of their money or making them wish they'd thought of it first. He gets into, and wins, a lot of fights, but is generally regarded by anyone he hasn't successfully won over as an irritating street rat. Without any known parentage or significant desire for consistent employment, Chase rewrites his own biography as he goes along, generally picking a new last name every time he hears one he likes better and occasionally inventing wild stories about his genetic donors. He's full of a lot of things, but anyone who manages to successfully crack his dismissive and aloof facade will find a fiercely loyal and surprisingly affectionate friend and companion.
Chase is 6'2" and human-looking, with slightly paler-than-average Caucasian skin. For most of his childhood, Chase had grey eyes and black hair, but activating his Nygul monster state has since turned his hair chalk-white and his eyes bright red. He is in peak physical condition for a 19 year-old male, though his musculature is wiry and catlike rather than bulky or outwardly muscular. He does tend to have a violent streak, and takes a rather absurd enjoyment in heckling others.
Racial Powers:
Pheromone - standard Hivespawn material
Nightwalker - Chase's Nygul form is that of a monstrous vampiric creature with bone-white skin, glowing red eyes, elongated limbs, and talon-like claws. His strength and speed are greatly enhanced in this form, but his most dangerous ability is his supernatural power of persuasion. In his Vampire form, Chase is able to send others into a sort of hypnotic trance state and order them to do his bidding (MODERATE). He does this by verbal command. He has an insatiable bloodlust in this form.
Inventory:
- Dorian's Cameo - ARTIFACT - What looks like an elegant grey pocket watch at first glance actually swings open on a hinge to reveal not a clock face, but a small portrait. The portrait is of a handsome, pale-skinned adult man with an unsettling smile. When in the possession of a Nygul owner, this mysterious device acts as a sort of lifeline, bearing the brunt of brutal transformations and allowing the owner to retain their humanity while the portrait suffers the ill effects. When a Nygul attuned to the Cameo makes their transformation, their base humanity will not drop. Instead, the image in the portrait will become progressively more monstrous over time. However, if the watch is ever broken or compromised, the owner's humanity would instantly be depleted to match the Cameo's state. This false sense of security has led to the ruin of more than one previous owner, yet somehow the Cameo continues to resurface through the years, seemingly unscathed...Currently at 89% humanity.
- Aviators - Plain black sunglasses. Some things never go out of style. You plan on being one of them.
- Flash Cards - A deck of seemingly ordinary playing cards, these can explode with an unexpected flash bang effect at the user's will. [[PL: weak]]
- Electromancer's Staff - This slender, electric blue bo staff is covered in delicate lightning bolt motif. While carrying it, the user can cause the surface of their body to be covered with an [[PL: STRONG]] electric current which acts as a shield against physical attacks or adds an additional damage buff to their own striking attacks. Additionally, the staff is capable of discharging electricity either upon direct contact [[PL variable: weak-moderate]] or as a projectile energy ball which must be charged for a post before release [[PL: STRONG]].
- Fake Blood - x3 - It's chocolate cherry flavored! It's no substitute for the real thing, but--wait, what?
- Kansas - A red acoustic-electric guitar named after one of your favorite bands. You have no idea what a Kansas is, but you assume it's the name of some mythological kingdom, which makes it a pretty badass name for a guitar.
- Burglar's Gloves - A pair of enchanted black fingerless gloves that improve your skill and coordination. +5 dexterity, +3 charisma. [[PL: Light]]
- Hooded Cloak of the Nightwalker - OKAY so you definitely got this as a joke but like who expected it to be so comfortable am I right? It's a ruby red cloak clasped at the throat by a brooch in the shape of a crescent moon. Wearing it lets you disappear completely in the shadows [[PL: STRONG]] and see perfectly well in darkness [[PL: STRONG for natural darkness, MODERATE for darkness created by a spell/item]]. Grants a STRONG defense buff against DARK damage.
- Diadem of Eternal Love - This diadem is made of gold and pearl and stylized to look like a pair of swans facing each other, their wings outstretched to wrap around the head, their curved, stylized bodies circling the softly luminescent pearls. // When you purchase this item, you receive two diadems. So long as you and a partner you hold dear are both wearing this item, neither of you can truly die so long as one of you lives. If you are slain, you will automatically revive at the end of the thread/fight as long as your partner is wearing the diadem and still alive. The partner does not have to be in the thread with you, though in this case the diadem must be listed as a worn item in their profile. If you and your partner are both slain before the thread/fight ends, neither of you will revive by means of this item. [[Attuned to Kura]]
