Race Description: Elves are humanoid creatures with long pointy ears, and slender physiques. Even those who possess significant strength only develop lean muscles. Males and females are fairly discernable, though less so than with humans, as they have a number of androgynous physical traits.
Racial Powers:
Elven Reflexes - Flint's elven heritage grants him a [light] boost to his reaction time and reflexes in a fight. His lean frame makes it easier to make the first move.
Elven Senses - Flint's sharp eyes and ears grant him a [light] boost to his ability to perceive the world around him, be it noticing the details of a finely crafted painting, or catching sight of a hidden assailant before they act. Flint also receives a [light] boost to performing mental tasks, recalling useful information and resisting mind affecting spells and powers. He can see twice as far in dim light as a normal human.
Trained Abilities:
Iaijutsu - Flint has trained tirelessly on the art of the quickdraw. When Flint acts first during combat, his first attack is treated as one tier higher for the purposes of power. In addition, Flints tireless dedication to this art grants him a (Strong) boost to reflexes pertaining to combat and a [moderate] boost to reflexes in all other fields of physical reaction.
Arcane Duelist - Flint does not employ armor, instead opting to utilize his blade as a primary means of defense. This method grants Flint a [moderate] defensive boost. In addition, once per post, Flint may increase a nearby allies defenses against a single attack by one step if he has not been targeted by any attacks since his last post. An allies defense may not be boosted past (strong) using this method.
Spellstrike - Instead of simply casting spells, Flint may channel his offensive spells through a weapon, delivering them with a successful attack. The target suffers any damage caused by the weapon in addition to the spell simultaneously, though each source of damage can be resisted separately through either physical or magical defenses.
Spellcasting:
Shocking Grasp - When cast, Flint's touch delivers a [light] electrical jolt into an opponent.
Mage Armor - When cast, Flint's defense against physical attacks increases by one step for the remainder of a fight thread.
Vampiric Touch - When cast, Flint's touch drains a target of it's vitality, dealing [moderate] magical damage and in turn healing Flint of a wound he received from a [moderate] or lower power attack.
Fly - Flint can cast this spell to gain the ability to fly with a [moderate] level of maneuverability for the duration of a thread.
Description of Character: Having spent much of his time training in the art of combat, Flint's slender frame is a tad more muscular than most elves. Though his elven physique does much to hide it. Long pointy ears are partially hidden by messy white hair. Flint's blue eyes are accentuated by a rather pale skin tone. The elf prefers to dress lightly, opting for thin threaded and loose fitting robes and jackets. One other defining trait is the jet black blade he keeps harnessed to a belt on his left hip.
Character Personality: Flint is oftentimes the very definition of infinite patience. On most occasions where he is faced with confrontation, Flint is emotionally unshakable, opting to think things through as calmly as he can, and waiting for the proper opportunity to make a move. That is not to say Flint is slow to act. When the situation calls for it, he is swift and decisive. Flint has a strong appreciation for the fine arts, and respects those that take pride and exhibit creativity in their respective craft. Oftentimes after a dangerous confrontation, the warrior will feel compelled to capture a few moments in time on an animated canvas, taking great care with minute details of a memory. He does so with the goal of eliciting the emotions he feels during a confrontation into the minds of those that view his work. That is the primary method by which Flint connects emotionally with the general public. Though not socially awkward by any means, Flint is an elf of few words, only opting to partake in extended conversation with those he highly trusts, respects or cares for.
Inventory:
Art Supplies - Flint keeps a backpack of art supplies with him wherever he goes, so that the elf may take advantage of inspiration wherever he encounters it. These range from minor painting supplies to stencils and other basic drawing tools that Flint uses to produce rough sketches of elaborate paintings he will create at a later time.
Shukumei(ARTIFACT) - This living katana forged with black steel is Flint's partner and weapon of choice. Shukumei is sentient, and possesses his own senses of sight and hearing, and acts as a second set of eyes and ears for Flint, granting him a [moderate] boost to sight and sound based perception while at his partner's side. He also possesses the ability to talk, though only those he wants to understand him will notice anything other than a magical jet black sword glowing with multicolored auras. The swords attack deals (Strong) damage by default. Shukumei may teleport to Flint's hand at will from any location that isn't dimensionally locked, and can move about freely on his own using a limited method of self-telekinesis.
