Wants
1. Relationships - Friendships, romance, mortal foes, mild dislike. You name it, I'm interested. I love my characters forming new relationships, good and bad, so long as those relationships form over a reasonable time. By all means, have your characters hate mine on sight if you want, but don't expect the feeling to be mutual upon first meeting.
Pre-existing relationships are fine, so long as you PM me to discuss the idea first and respect my decision if I don't want a pre-existing relationship for that character.
2. Conflict - I love conflict. By all means, send it my way. Don't worry about upsetting me OOCly (out of character) if your character picks a fight with mine.
3. Plots - I love plotting, the more on-going the better. In particular, I subscribe to the Mercedes Lackey school of character arcs; Love them, then drop a mountain on them. That is, I enjoy character torture, and lots of it, but I also want my characters to be loved as well. Their lives should be hard and sometimes, in the end, tragic, but not an ongoing misery. Balance is important.

Absolutely Nots
1. Adult/Minor relationships - Even if this wasn't a major eww-hell no squick of mine, I live in Australia and work with children. Even a text role play of paedophilia could cost me my job and possibly my freedom. So no, no and no on all levels.
2. Graphic sex - Even over instant message, no. I'm fine with fade to black and implications, but I do not actually want to play out my characters getting intimate in any shape or form.
2a. Sexual Assault - I don't want to deal with this even implied for my characters. Not at all. This is the one exception to my enjoyment of character torture.
