Stuck the Landing

Demetria Colleen a woman, once a young girl. Still she acts young, sees the world for how it could be, her almost naive look on life being what keeps her going. Once she didn't know aliens existed let alone thousands of other dimensions like her own, things like so only living in the stories of others. But all that changed one day, and now she is where she is. 

Interdimentional travel has taken a tole on her though, multiple friends, multiple lives, multiple worlds. Demi needed a break, but it wasn't like she had the option to go back home, even if she knew how. Not long after this decision she heard stories about a city, one of multiple beings, multiple people, all in one point. To say the least she was thrilled, species she had seen and hadn't possible lived among the ranks of Rune. She couldn't waste this chance. 

It it took even less time for her to find a person willing to send her there, but at a price. She had given up most of her charms, magical items she had collect across dozens of solar systems, dozens of lands. All on the whim, gone. Then she was gone.

A portal appeared, it hung a few feet off the ground. A girl falling from it soon after. "Ahhh!" Demi hit the ground with a loud thud, the grace of a two ton elephant being presented as she layed sprawled on the cobblestone path. She mumbled something in pain before pulling herself up into a sitting position, blood now coming from her nose, as well as other areas. "Stupid witch, could she have atleast warned me. God damnit!" She half mumbled half hissed to herself, rubbing one of her knees trying to ease its pain. What a great way to start.

The Doors was a nice place to frequent if you wanted to keep track of who was going in and out of Rune. You never knew what kind of interesting people you'd run into. If you were really lucky you might even run into someone famous. That'd make for a more productive day than looking around clueless sap tourists, but hey it was something.

Gizmo watches Demi's predicament from a detached distance with a lazy grin on his face. They definitely seemed like a person who didn't know what they were doing.  The sudonian waits for her to get up before wandering over towards her. He knew how to walk silently, but lets his metallic limb clank against the ground with each step to get her attention. 

"Ya good?" He asks, not sounding especially concerned.

Ralin casually walked from The Pits, a large-ish wooden crate held under his arm. He had spent a large portion of his limited funds on helping the poor in the slums, who could hardly feed themselves, but now he didn't have enough to buy food. Ouroboros slithered up out of his collar nipping at his ear, his way of showing his hunger.

"I know, I'll buy you food.." He mumbled. He'd spend the last of the money he had on his weapon. The irony. Soon he found himself close to the Door District and decided to go in. No doubt he could find a confused traveller in the right direction.

Soon his suspicions were proven correct as he heard the swearing swearing of what he assumed to be a new arrivel. Following the road he soon spotted the girl, as well arrives the cat that had approached her.

"Hello. Is everything okay here?"

Demi sat there for a few seconds before she realized her nose was bleeding, internally cursing the world she finally started to take in her surroundings. Many people where around, doors and portals on what seemed to be every side of her. A looming wall not far. Some people seemed to look at her but payed her no mind, others walked on by without a second though. Taking her hand she pinched the bridge of her nose and tried to get up. As soon as she got up she looked around in aw, this had to be the place she heard about, the City of Rune. 

Hearing the sound of a mechanical limb getting closer the travel turned to face the creature behind her, only to look down and spot a creature she remembered. "Oh my gosh! Your a Sudius Domesticus! Or rather a Sudonian, you don't look domestic though. Wait did you talk? Is that a robotic arm? I have so many questions!" Demi said Crouching down to have a better look at the creature, Demi realized maybe she was over stepping her bounds. As well she realized her hand was no long pinching the bridge of her nose. 

Calming herself down Demi gave a sheepish grin, "My apologies adrenaline rush I guess. My name is Demetria I am a-" Demi was shut down quickly as she heard a voice behind her asking if everything was all right. Turning her head around she saw the looming creature, something she wasn't ass familiar with. Raising her hand to shake his only to realize it had a bit of nose blood on it the woman brought it back. 

"Oh yes hello, I am new, also bleeding." The girl said in a fast shot off jumble of words. 

".... and you can see that, anyway I am fine. No need to burden you I just need to get my baring." Demi finally said with a sigh a little stressed by recent events.

If there was a standard type of person Gizmo tried to mooch off of this was it right here. Minus the nose bleeding. She should probably get that checked out. If she had money anyway.

"Yeah I'm pretty great." Gizmo says in his usual dry, bored tone. He then tries to plop himself in Demi's lap like you'd expect a fat house cat might. "How bout you finish up doing that and I'll answer all your questions over lunch." He suggests, not paying much attention to Ralin yet. Always the smooth operator, the sudonian adds; "I'm winking but I've only got one eye."

[Burdle]

"That you are." He replied as the girl hastily notified him of her bleeding. As if on cue ouroboros slithered out from his sleeve and looked at Demi clearly excited by the sight of blood. Ralin flicked the weapon on the head. "You're metal, and a sword." Which earned him a nip on the finger. "Go on." He told it as it straightened into a blade, which he hung at his belt. "Sorry if that caused either of you distress." He said acknowledging Gizmo. "Don't bother yourself with my burdens ma'am. I have helped others for most of my adult life, my well being should be of no concern to you." He smiled if slightly grimly. "If either of you need any assistance don't hesitate to ask. My name is Ralin Fargarrow."

Demi was about to speak to the large looming man when the Sudonian plopped itself on her lap. Careful not to touch the poisonous spines she picked up the cat like creature, hands holding onto its under belly. "You don't mind if I pick you up correct." Without waiting for a reply Demetria stood up, the Sudonian held in her arms safely. 

Standing tall but not nearly as tall as the person Demi looked up and listened to the almost chivalrous sounding character. Seeing the sword was amazing, it moves like a living being almost like a snake but hardened into a blade once commanded. She had seen similarly enchanted items but never weapons. 

"Oh well if either of you know where I should be heading that would be swell. Also maybe to a healer or nurse, I would like to deal with this..." She motioned towards he still bleeding nose, one arm still holding Gizmo. "... delt with." Demi said with a grin.

Fortunately because of his incredibly low poison content Gizmo's spines were practically non-existence. They were soft to the touch and did not even have trace amounts of poison. He was completely harmless in that sense.


"Yes carry me." Gizmo noises quietly. He gets somewhat of a better look at Ralin from this angle. He doesn't react much to the man's weird sword thing.



"The best thing I can tell you is to stick some toilet paper on it. So I hope you've got some better idea Rainy Fakearrow."

Ralin approached Demi and looked at her bleeding nose. "I don't know where you came from, but things in Rune are very different. Not all people have the privilege of being able to see a healer or doctor on something as small as as nose bleed, let alone something worse." He explained. "It's a simple fix however, just tilt your head and pinch your nostrils shut for a couple minutes, that should slow it or stop it completely." He stopped for a moment and considered her first question. "Where you should be going is and tough question. If you don't have any money though, the only place to go would be the pits. I wouldn't suggest this though since it is the slums of the city, and you shouldn't go near it if you don't have and way to defend yourself."
