Name: Arcana (Previously Anthraxia)
Age: Equivalent of 28
Race Name: Sudonian
Race Description: Small, quadruped, mammalian race that have an immunity to poison. Blood color varies on poison level in their system; which is regulated by their diet and lifestyle. Despite low physical strength, sudonians are a highly adaptive race and can learn to survive in almost any environment.
Subspecies: Ex-Bush Rouge
Racial Ability: 2 - Color; Heavyset physique, bristly quills down spine, rough texture but not sharp to the touch. Direct contact with back quills may cause itchiness. Contact with blood or quills when the sudonian is at heightened adrenaline levels may additionally cause a rash and further itchiness. (PL: Weak)
Description of Character: This remarkably large, husky and chubby Sudonian possess a coat of sandy yellow fur, darkening to an earthen brown along her back. Her belly seems to possess the lightest colored fur across her form. Her features are blunt and rather slim, with her eyes surprisingly wide and brilliantly blue. Her fur is largely kept long but relatively well tended to, neatly groomed and even trimmed in some areas, particularly around the jaw and cheeks to produce a floofy yet equally plump effect. Thick and bristling quills run down her spine rather densely, cleaned and almost unfortunately soft looking. Her ears are actually rather on the short side for a sudonian, not fully noticeable until one compares her side-by-side with another one of her species. In direct contrast to this, her tail is thick and particularly long, highly dexterous and muscular, seemingly well trained. Whilst on all fours, she is typically around twelve inches tall. That said, she is most often found walking and working whilst upright. Her claws are thicker but noticeably short, with paws calloused and worn, especially around the pads.
Her body is rather well decorated, with golden chains dangling from the tufts of her ears, baring small luminous blue orbs encircled by golden hoops. Her tail possesses four decorative brass bands along the base, spaced evenly to reach the midsection. Rather surprisingly, two of her front teeth are in fact gilded, seemingly replaced with golden replicas that appear rather expensive (and not that well made). She tends to garb herself in rather vibrant attire, preferring an adventurous mix of loose and long brown duster with a buttoned up white undershirt and red vest. Underneath this relatively light clothing is a tightly wound leather chestpiece, with a metallic front that helps to wrap around the belly akin to a girdle. This helps to add some much needed protection, however it makes sliding against the ground a little difficult, with quick movement being cumbersome.
Character Personality:
In this world, there is no such thing as a try - there's a do and a die. That is the philosophy that Arcana adheres to. To this very day, it is how she operates, how she sees things done, how she approaches the concept of creativity. When you have to do something - you have to do it right. Plan, prepare, make contingency plans - make contingency plans for those contingency plans and keep a failsafe or two laying around. She refuses to take risks without knowing there is a way out of any negative situation that comes of it, but that is not to say she is a coward. Born - particularly in her own eyes - an astoundingly intelligent member of her troop , she considers her own opinions to be of high regard and endeavours to push herself (and others) towards making things around them even better.
Arcana, for this reason, is quite supportive. Willing to offer encouragement and pleasant company, she isn't above tough love when it is needed and typically considers the harsh truths of reality to be rather paramount to keep in mind above idealistic fancies. Despite this personal opinion, she tends to bite her tongue in most pleasant company, preferring to let others figure it out for themselves. Her temper is short - often times reaching a boiling point at an astoundingly quick rate. This tends to bubble very quickly into loud and extremely shouty bouts of faux swearing, gesturing and stomping, with quills raised high enough to stab herself with. More often than not, she tends to calm down relatively quickly and utterly refuse to acknowledge the fact she may have just made an embarrassing mess of herself, instead choosing to attempt to preserve her dignity. That said, she is often times begrudging, taking challenges seriously and openly inviting others to do the same thing.
A immense lover of magic, creative design and discovery, Arcana often times loves hitting the books...knowledge means a lot to her and often times it is worth more than actual currency. She loves to share things with others, often times without holding any detail back and rambling at an excessive speed, typically up to high pitched giggle-punctuated floods of jargon and excitement. Testing is an important part of ensuring success, and she often invites others to give honest critiques and opinions (good ones, mostly, as bad critique tends to lead to a flood of 'why's) whilst she shows off her work.
Arcana believes in the finer things in life - to better yourself is to better others. She tends to get along well with most other races, particularly those of her own that have shrugged away the mantle of their primitive lifestyle to be more than merely pets or subservient creatures.
Inventory:
Baubles of Many Lights - These baubles are seemingly made of a perfectly polished blue sphere, wrapped tightly in golden hoops. It is typically hung off the ears from decorative wraps. This decoration also serves a secondary purpose. Blowing into them will produce a small luminous field around them, providing bright light within five feet and dim blue light beyond that. This light actually helps detect magical effects, marking them with a purple tinge when within the light. (Light)
Raiment of the Vainglorious Savant (ARTIFACT) - This set of equipment consists of three separate parts.
The rig itself helps to manipulate latent magical energy in the air to form several different functions. Adding or modifying the functions would require a rather sizable project, likely forcing the entire artifact to be reforged in the process. It also requires the proper knowledge of the new enchantments or functions for the fact of imbuing.

Raiment of the Vainglorious Savant (ARTIFACT) - This set of equipment consists of three separate parts.
- A set of black, rubbery gloves - wrapped in enchanted silver rings built to wrap around a sudonian's paw fingers. These gloves are both catalysts for magical spells and help to manipulate the visor below.
- A set of visor-like gold-rimmed glasses, with a single sheet of glass stretching across the eyes. This visor helps to detect the fields of magic around it, allowing for accurate and precise manipulation of spells. It requires the above gloves to use, as the focus and aim for the spells is largely based off hand-eye coordination.
- An elaborate tail-rig - A little like a flexible metal gauntlet consisting of several bands and flexible spandex fabric that wraps around the tail, ending in a bulbous metallic tip with a blue gem at it's eye. The use of this device is particularly dangerous for the user. Effecting the entire spine, it entrenches itself and interfaces with the above items, allowing the bulbous tip to open wide, revealing claw like fingers that consist of it's frame. Capable of being used like a fifth - and very accurate - paw, this apparatus can be used for careful manipulation (and grabbing) of objects, as well as interacting with forming spells, even being used as a catalyst.
The rig itself helps to manipulate latent magical energy in the air to form several different functions. Adding or modifying the functions would require a rather sizable project, likely forcing the entire artifact to be reforged in the process. It also requires the proper knowledge of the new enchantments or functions for the fact of imbuing.
- The raiment allows the manipulation and creation of mending and alteration spells, allowing damaged objects to be properly returned to a repaired state (up to 10kg of restored non-organic material per day) and to modify the parameters of an existing object. (For example, with careful manipulation and focus, she can repair the missing pages of a book - and then manipulate it's third page to have altered content, such as a dirty joke or the blueprints for a pair of glasses). (Moderate) Additionally, this allows her to use her tail in order to manipulate objects from a distance (up to 25 ft) with a form of telekinetic force (enough force to lift 5kg of mass maximum).
- It also allows the creation of defensive and offensive spells, capable of summoning a magical barrier with a surface area close to that of a kite shield (the shape and form can be warped, however the total surface area covered cannot exceed it's original form. This barrier can take trauma equal to that of a half inch thick sheet of iron, exploding into particles once it reaches a breaking point. (Moderate) If threatened, Arcana can manipulate the magical spectrum to create small missles of arcane power, equivalent to being struck by a golf ball (Light) which are fired rapidly, a ray of intense frost (Moderate) and a focused white beam of energy that causes a massive loss of equilibrium, causing intense nausea and unbalance to a targeted foe for two posts. (Moderate)
- Possibly the most useful of all it's abilities is the ability to imbue objects touched with useful enchantments. For the most part, any object held within her paws or manipulated by her tail can be imbued with an enchanted function This can range from a functional mundane enchantment (literally misc. stuff, such as glowing slightly when held, making your breath smell minty fresh, giving a pleasing scent or recording a simple machine-like function) (Light), a more advanced and supportive functions (Giving a sword the ability to burn like red-hot iron or emit one of the four basic element types, a pair of glasses can detect a specific kind of being or a small handheld object capable of emitting a weak but functional defensive shield) (Moderate) and even powerful magical abilities. (Such as giving a pair of boots the ability to teleport 10ft ahead, allowing a small, baseball sized object to turn into a grenade that can cause (Moderate) effects and rigging a lock to explode if not properly opened). (Strong) There is a catch, however. In order to produce these item, she requires an appropriate workshop environment, providing her the proper tools and time to finish her enchantment.
