Racial Powers:
Magic - Health Restoration/Regeneration - Varaen's powers allow her to heal herself or others of major physical wounds, although not any sort of mental damage or diseases. This power is not strong enough to completely heal a lost limb, but it is strong enough to reattach one, or to infuse the area with enough regenerative energy to allow it to grow back over a period of a couple months. This power can't be used often, and using it too many times on the same target can be dangerous, as there is a possibility they will begin to "heal" things that aren't damaged. (PL: Strong, WPP. Power can be used once every two posts, and not on the same person more than once per thread.)
Breath Weapon - Acid - Varaen can spit a corrosive acid that slowly eats through organic matter. This can be blocked by most armor, but not most clothing. (PL: Moderate)
Description of Character: Varaen is fairly short, at only 5’3”, but is very athletic and significantly strong and fast, if not always very nimble. She tends to keep her blonde hair at shoulder-length and let it fall naturally when not wearing armor. Her scales are black and packed very densely, covering almost the entirety of her arms and legs as well as the majority of her back and sides, but her stomach, chest, face, hands, and most of her neck are simply normal skin. Her eyes are hazel.
Character Personality: Varaen cares about law and morality, but only as obstacles to take into account when she wants to do something that goes against them. She’s mainly interested in fun and enjoyment, with profit coming in a very close second, and is fine with achieving any of those through blatantly illegal or immoral means if the opportunity presents itself. She’s always quick to befriend, but slow to trust, preferring to have something to hold over someone’s head before revealing anything possibly incriminating. She finds great enjoyment in combat, and will accept just about any challenge made to her by anyone.
Additional Information: Varaen has lived in Rune for several years and currently runs Draconian, an establishment deep in the Pits that caters to clientele with decidedly illegal proclivities. All criminal activity within its walls, no matter how great or small, goes completely unreported by both Varaen and, as she takes great lengths to ensure, any of her clients. The entry fee isn’t just monetary; all people wishing to enter must also supply Varaen with indisputably incriminating evidence against themselves in order for her to allow them inside.

- Leviathan Body Armor - Worn under Varaen’s clothes, this light, flexible armor with an overlapping-scale design provides protection against normally armor-piercing weaponry. (Provides Strong resistance to physical damage, with a further Strong resistance to armor-piercing efects.)
- Local Surveillance/Targeting Overlay HUD - This headset provides detailed information about Varaen’s surroundings, especially about the other people around her. This technology is designed to detect even extremely well-hidden people through an arsenal of various sensors and data sorting algorithms, revealing to Varaen the locations of any others in an approximately 150-foot radius around her, as well as their primary weapon if they happen to be carrying one. ((Strong detection ability; weakens to Light if the resistance to detection is magical in nature. WPP.))

- Dense-Core Mace (Artifact) - This heavy mace is composed of a three and a half foot steel handle and small handguard attached to a head composed of an extremely dense osmium core surrounded with a tool steel shell and eight wickedly sharp flanges of the same material. It’s a nonmagical weapon, but it still packs an immense punch, dealing Epic physical damage with every hit as well as being nearly impervious to other weapons’ attacks and slicing through armor like it wasn’t there. (Epic physical damage, Epic armor-piercing effect. When used to block, provides Epic resistance to purely physical damage, but no effect to energy- or magic-based attacks.)
- Dragonkin Cellphone - A typical phone of a type common on the world of dragonkin. Not only is it able to connect to whatever wireless network Rune or any place in it may have, but Varaen can also use it to monitor Draconian from a distance by viewing any of the several video cameras she has hidden in the building.
- Draconian Keycards - These keycards grant access to Draconian, but only to the entry room - the actual establishment requires a retina and vein-pattern scan, or equivalent measures for species which do not possess retinas or veins. In addition, they also display Varaen’s contact information and the location of Draconian. Varaen tends to distribute these to anyone she feels might be a potential customer.
