GHOULS
Appearance: Ghouls appear, in most respects, to be humans. Though their eyes usually appear normal, when their powers are activated, they are starving, they are enraged, or even at will, their eyes change so that their irises are a glowing crimson and the sclera is black. This is known as the Kakugan. It has no special abilities, but to act as a sort of brand.
Half-Ghouls: Also known as One-Eyed Ghouls, these can be created in two ways. One is birth from one Ghoul parent and one non-Ghoul parent. Two is a transplant of organs from a Ghoul to a human. One-Eyed Ghouls have the same abilities and weaknesses as Ghouls. Also, only one eye has the Kakugan, hence the title One-Eye.
Biology: Though mostly the same as humans, there are a number of differences from human biology. One of the most important being the inability to consume the food that is normal for humans or other humanoid races. First of all, normal food tastes particularly awful to Ghouls. Second, if a Ghoul digests normal food, they will become ill. They must vomit it. Instead, a Ghoul can only feed on the flesh and blood of other humanoid races(including other Ghouls and Half-Ghouls). Coffee and water are the only normal forms of food/drink Ghouls are able to enjoy and digest. While a single body will keep a Ghoul fed for a month, there are those that feast for pleasure. They are known as "binge eaters".
Normal food will weaken the physical condition of a Ghoul if they are forced to digest it. A Ghoul starved of humanoid flesh for too long will suffer from headaches and lose all reason, looking for any available source of flesh to feast upon and end their Hell.
Ghouls are stronger and faster than humans(Moderate level Speed and Strength). They also have heightened senses, being able to tell different races apart by their scent, from a distance and hear footsteps from a few blocks away.
Kagune: The Kagune is often referred to as 'liquid muscle' and described as a Ghoul's claws. The Kagune can manifest as a pair of sharp wings, a tail, a drill-like object, or from 1 to 8 tentacle-like appendages. The Kagune protrudes from the back when the Ghoul activates their power. It can flow like blood, but harden to a titanium-like quality and/or back in an instant, at the will of the Ghoul. The Kagune can be severed, but will grow back in 2 rounds. Though they regenerate, keep in mind the energy consumption of regrowing what is basically another limb, as well as the pain of having it severed in the first place. The Kagune deals Moderate or Strong physical damage, depending on the power of the wielder, and is capable of harming other Ghouls. Other forms of Kagune are possible and known to exist. Those listed are the most common.
Kakujas: A Kakuja is a Ghoul who has cannibalized excessively, feeding on other Ghouls. This cannibalism has caused the Ghoul to mutate, giving them a second Kagune. This Kagune is often an armor that offers Moderate protection from all attacks, but can also be a second weapon-type Kagune, or it can modify their existing Kagune.
Chimaera: A Chimaera Ghoul is a Ghoul that has two different Kagunes, naturally. A Chimaera can become a Kakuja, as well, but they can only have an armor or a modification, not a third Kagune.
Additional Powers:
If the Ghoul is a Kakuja or Chimaera, choose one of the following powers as a bonus. If they are not a Kakuja or Chimaera, they receive both powers below. If the Ghoul is both a Kakuja and a Chimaera, they do not receive either of the additional powers.
Resistance: The Ghoul is unable to be harmed by mundane weapons(excluding firearms), without a very large amount of force behind them. The weapon used must have some sort of offensive bonus on it to injure the Ghoul(or a lot of force, as said before). Also gives a LIGHT defense against all attacks that are capable of harming them.
Regeneration: The Ghoul has higher than normal regenerative abilities. One LIGHT/WEAK wound is healed per round and one MODERATE wound every 3 rounds. More serious wounds such as broken bones take considerably less time to heal. A few days, to a couple of weeks, at most.
